Business Plans and Proposals
In my 30 years of business, I have written numerous business plans and proposals. My proprietary, 8-step messaging process will assure that your message is communicated clearly, concisely and effectively.
Several key factors should be considered when writing a business plan, writing Web page content, or composing other important business documents:
- Keep it short: Say what you mean in as few words as possible. More is not better.
- Keep it simple: The use of technical and industry acronyms is NOT a sign of intelligence or professionalism. Tell your story using simple and common business language and avoid acronyms and abbreviations where possible. Do not assume the reader understands the language of your industry.
- Avoid marketing babble and buzzwords. People do not buy or invest in things they do not fully understand.
When writing a business plan, avoid "stepping over dollar bills to pick up nickels" with do-it-yourself or least-cost alternatives. You get one shot to establish interest and credibility. Do it right the first time or don’t do it at all. Price is always part of the discussion but, if your first or only question is “How much?” I am not the guy for you. All my plans are all-inclusive, including an extensive Financial Plan and Marketing Plan. Price is determined by the scope of the project and time restrictions for completion. I will be happy to give you some helpful hints as a business courtesy during our first conversation. If we decide that we have a fit, I will effectively present your idea with the character and passion that it deserves and improve the likelihood of achieving your objectives.
